Advocating for a fair, transparent governance system in Ghana Swimming

A movement of athletes, coaches, and clubs championing water safety, swimming education, and youth empowerment across every region of Ghana. The Swim Stakeholders Connect remains committed to lawful, transparent, and accountable processes in the administration of swimming.

Our Mission

A movement for every Ghanaian child

This is the official platform of the Swim Stakeholders Connect.

We represent the collective voice of athletes committed to transparency, fairness, and the long-term development of swimming.

The Facts

Recent actions have disregarded established constitutional processes. Elections were conducted without due diligence, ignoring the authority and structure required for a free and fair process.

Unrecognized individuals have been presented as elected officials, supported by the creation of questionable regional bodies designed to influence outcomes. These actions undermine governance standards and the integrity of the sport.

Our Children

They are at the center of this issue.

They have dedicated years of discipline, sacrifice, and commitment to swimming.

The current situation directly affects their growth, opportunities, and future in the sport. They deserve a system that protects their interests and upholds fairness at every level.

Timeline

Since June 2025, there has been no verifiable progress in restoring constitutional order.

Key processes have been overlooked, and no credible steps have been taken to address the governance concerns affecting the sport.

Stories from our community

"‎For the six years I have been swimming I have gained a lot, a higher level of confidence in my own self as I became competitive and helped me become more fit than previously. Right now a swimmer, I want the ability to be able to swim for Ghana in international competitions to show my own progress and to also be able to use it to aid my education through gaining a scholarship. I can not achieve either goal when Ghana Swimming Association is in a state of fighting"

"Low motivation among swimmers: Young swimmers may become discouraged when they constantly hear about disputes, court issues, leadership problems, or cancelled competitions. It can reduce excitement and confidence in the sport. Parents losing trust in swimming programs:Many parents may begin to question whether swimming in Ghana is stable enough for their children’s future. Some could stop investing in training, competitions, or memberships because of uncertainty."

"Eight years ago I enrolled my two boys in a swimming class and it has been a life changing journey for them. They have since transitioned into competitive swimmers, competing in the Ghana Swimming League since its inception. The impact has been enormous, both physically and and emotionally. My first child who used to be reserved is now a social butterfly, all thanks to his interactions with swimmers from other clubs. The current governance issues in the GSA are of great concern to all of us. It’s important for us to ensure ethical, transparent and accountable association to protect the over 400 Ghanaian swimmers, which includes my two sons."
